Mr Joseph
Experience
For over fifteen years, Joseph, our lead guide and safari director, has known no other office apart from bush life. Guiding, hosting, and sharing his vast knowledge of wildlife has been his passion. This includes guiding and leading big groups of guests, tailor-made family safaris, bush craft and survival techniques, bushwalk safaris, bird watching, conservation and community projects, mammal counts tagging and census, logistics works on various wildlife photographing and filming, and many more activities in the famous southern and northern tourist circuits in East Africa.
He has closely worked with some of the most reputable world-leading conservationists and wildlife enthusiast organizations. Born and brought up on the famous Great Rift Valley with diverse abundance of wildlife, beautiful sceneries, and landscapes, his love for nature started while still a young boy, spending most of his time exploring the bush while herding his family’s domestic livestock, resulting in a deep affinity with nature.
His knowledge as a first-class safari guide is prodigious. His dedication, professionalism, and deep love for nature make him an informative and entertaining guide who can easily read the body language of his guests. His combination of flexibility and easy-going disposition, along with his natural affinity with children, has earned him a reputation as an ideal family guide. He is highly specialized in mammals (mammology) and their behaviors, including African mammals, their habits and habitats, their ecology, social organizations, traits, distribution, and interaction in an ecosystem.
His favorite animal is the super killing machine, the cheetah, and his favorite bird is the majestic secretary bird.
